Green Music Initiative

The Green Music Initiative (GMI) is an independent, cross-sector think tank that aims to inspire people in the music festival and event industry to make their activities more sustainable and future-proof. The non-profit initiative now unites more than 150 festivals and 350 venues across Europe, reaching more than 3.5 million young Europeans through its activities.
GMI thus acts as a cross-sector innovation and research agency for the European music and entertainment industry. As a funding agency and consortium partner, GMI is active in European funding programs such as Intelligent Energy Europe (EE Music), Horizion 2020 (Everywh2ere Hydrogen), Creative Europe (GEX Circular Festivals Network) or Erasmus+ (Sustainable Festivals Capacity Building). With the GO Group, GMI offers training and education in sustainability, innovation and social change for actors of the whole sector throughout Europe.
