XJAZZ Festival

Since its start in May 2014, the XJAZZ festival became the largest jazz festival in Berlin – with 48 bands and around 10,000 visitors. XJAZZ is combining established venues and structures with new ones and brings together musicians to create and present joint shows.
Berlin’s charisma makes it predestined for a confident planning of line-up and concept. Therefore XJAZZ’s focus is mainly on the Berlin-based music scene. 75% of the acts are locals. This is unique to Germany.
The contemporary understanding of jazz music includes sub-genres such as electronic improvised, new classical as well as singer/songwriter.
