Sprechstunde Musikwirtschaft – Recordings, merchandise, concerts & more – How to get my music out of the digital sphere
Recordings, merchandise, concerts & more – How I get my music out of the digital sphere
The songs are produced, the release date planned and the social media content already pre-produced? Great! But there’s more. Just because streaming platforms and social media have become the most important players doesn’t mean that your music has to take place exclusively on the internet. Give people something physical that reminds them of you and allows them to support you financially. Give your fans and those who want to become fans the opportunity to see you away from their screens. Is it still worth it these days? That’s what we’ll talk about in this consultation!
Date and time
September 26, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Topics of the webinar:
– Status quo: social media and streaming vs. everything else
– Experience: This is how important real-life presentation is in contrast to social media – Physical souvenirs: Does anyone still buy recordings today?
– The basics of sound carrier production
– The basics of merchandise production
– How to go live: How do I plan a release concert or a whole tour?
– Open Q&A session for further real-life promo ideas
Why should you take part?
Dealing with the production of physical products or concerts can often be overwhelming. Suddenly
suddenly GEMA wants something, suddenly you’re in contact with some club operators, suddenly fans want to order products that have to be shipped somehow. That can be overwhelming, but it shouldn’t put you off: Because physical products are still relevant, even if the digital world sometimes conveys the opposite. With her experience in product management, booking and tour management, especially for independent artists, Nelleke Schmidt can provide insight into what the first steps can look like, to tackle these issues.
