About Hugo Haasjes: Born and raised in Assen, a small town in The Netherlands, I’ve always harbored a deep affection for music. Before venturing into the music industry, I took a few detours through sales and finance. Throughout my studies in Creative Business, I engaged in various projects aimed at exploring the utilization of data within the field. Last year, I got the opportunity to intern at Piranha Records in Berlin, where I gained invaluable insights into the inner workings of the industry – and got to explore Berlin in the meantime. At Piranha, I conducted research for my thesis entitled “How might we develop a digital framework for LABEL X to effectively build an audience for their extensive catalogue in the digital market?” Having graduated, I now serve as an artist manager at 3S Music Management in Amsterdam, working with bands such as Jungle by Night, Ayom, and Söndörgö, where I can apply my research in practice. Date: 25 April, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Registration: https://bmusiccommission.typeform.com/to/ARuNxbA6
